Words That Sound 'Healthy' But Can Mean Nothing

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) much more strictly regulates what is on the Nutrition Facts and Ingredients Labels. Beyond this official label, food and beverage manufacturers and sellers have a fair amount of latitude about what they can say about their products. Often, food and beverage packaging and advertising includes terms that sound "healthy" but in actuality have very unclear meanings. Here are some frequently used examples.
