Amateur Astronomers Solve Mystery Of Unidentified Fireball And Weird Space Junk Found In Spain

A trio of objects found Spain in early November looked otherworldly enough to capture international headlines. Following sightings of a fireball at dawn on November 3, two black metallic spheres more than 2 feet across turned up in the Southeastern corner of the country. Then a 12-foot strip of metal appeared in a farmer’s field. It looked like space debris but there had been no report from NASA or any of the world’s space agencies that anything was supposed to be reentering the atmosphere at that time. Authorities who track thousands of pieces of space junk said the three mystery objects matched nothing in the known universe.
