Where Do I Keep My Gold Medal?

This article is part of an on-going original series written by Caitlyn Jenner for WhoSay called "The Real Me," which explores issues and people in the LGBT community.

Hello friends! I hope your week has been awesome so far.

I've been going through all of the messages that you've sent me, and I'm overwhelmed by your kindness, words of encouragement, and insightful questions. While I can't respond to each of you, I want you to know that I'm reading everything and it means so much to me.

Here's a fun question that I seem to get a lot... Enjoy!

Nancy T.: You are so awesome. I'm just wondering where you keep your gold medal. Is it on display?

Nancy, my gold medal is my most-prized possession -- I'm so proud of it. However, I never wanted my kids to feel like they had to have a gold medal in order to be considered a success. I didn't want them to constantly compare their own achievements to my time in the Olympics, so I haven't displayed my medal. Here's where it currently lives...

You know what? Now that all of my kids are adults and out of the house, I think it might be time to put this baby up -- and when I do, I'll be sure to show you. Have a question for me? Submit it here.
